Andrew Fleming BA, PGCE  was appointed as Town Crier by Swanage Town Council in October 2011

Winner of South of England Championship in 2015, 2014 & 2013

The position of Swanage Town Crier is a voluntary one (though nominally employed by Swanage Town Council ) and is retained until relinquished. Andrew Fleming was chosen to be the local Town Crier after a competition and interview.

The purpose of the position is to help promote the town of Swanage and the Isle of Purbeck area, its organisations, businesses and activities. Andrew Fleming will be carrying out duties for the Town Council but may also be available to make appearances or perform shouts when requested by the public
